GENERAL INFORMATION

Applications of Stress Master can be beneficial to plant growth, including root development, flowering, and transplant establishment. This product may be applied through various application equipment and techniques, including air, ground, and conventional sprayers. This product, and phosphorus acid products, are intended to be used as a supplement to a well balanced fertilizer treatment program. It is not intended to be a substitute for sound soil fertilization and conventional cultural practices. Thorough coverage of foliage is necessary for best results when used as a foliar treatment.

Avoid foliar application under extremes of climate, e.g. rapid drying conditions, extremely slow drying conditions, frost, rain, or when frost or rain are anticipated. As a soil application to annual crops, a lesser response from the initial crop, with a corresponding superior response from succeeding crops, may be observed. In addition, placement close to seeds or root zones may be injurious to crops. The effect may be aggravated by a soil pH below 6.5. DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Precaution: Stress Master is a highly concentrated material. Exercise precautions to prevent potential root or foliar injury (including burning), or plant media pH changes, irrigation system damage or injector system damage. If applying Stress Master on its own, or in combination with other materials, a compatibility test is recommended to avoid potential incompatibilities. Prior to the addition of Stress Master to a spray mix, the user or application advisor must have experience with the combination or must have conducted a phytotoxicity trial. Use sufficient water to ensure thorough coverage.

 

APPLICATION TO TURF, ORNAMENTALS, NURSERY, COMMERCIAL LANDSCAPE, AND GOLF COURSES

Stress Master may be applied through various application equipment including air, ground, and conventional sprayers at 10 to 500 gallons of water per acre. For each pint of Stress Mater Si, use 6 1/4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. A 2% solution of Stress Master by spray volume is the maximum permissible rate for foliar applications.

 

Suggested Rates:

Evergreen Species (including trees, shrubs, foliage plants) Plant Health Program: Apply as a foliar application on a 10-14 day schedule or as necessary to maintain plant vigor using a 0.5% v/v solution (6.4 oz. per 10 gal. water).

Deciduous Species (including trees, shrubs, foliage plants) Plant Health Program: Apply as a foliar application on a 10-14 day schedule or as necessary to maintain plant vigor using a 0.5% v/v solution (6.4 oz. per 10 gal. water).

General Application Timing: First application at bud break, continue plant vigor program until plant senescence. Do not apply during dormancy.

Perennial and Annual Species (including bedding plants, annuals, and perennial plantings)

Bedding Plants: Apply as a foliar application at the fourth true leaf stage. Continue applications at 10-14 day intervals or as necessary to maintain plant vigor.

Transplanting: Prior to transplanting, apply as a foliar spray, using a 0.5% v/v solution or temporarily immerse the transplant.

Plant Health Program: Apply as a foliar application on a 10-14 day schedule or as necessary to maintain plant vigor using a 0.5% v/v solution (6.4 oz. per 10 gal. water).

Turf: Warm and cool season turf including commercial landscape, golf course, lawn care and sod farms growing the following: Bent grass, Blue grass, Rye grass, Zoysia grass, Bermuda grass, Fescue grass, St. Augustine grass, Centipede grass, and Poa Annua. Rate: 3 oz.-8 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. every 14-21 days. Rate and frequency of application may vary due to active growth periods and grass cultivars.

Plant Health Program: Application of Stress Master containing potassium may aid in reducing summer stress due to increased potassium levels if soil medium is not sufficient to meet the need. Stress Master is recommended for use as a supplement to a well balanced fertilizer program only.

 

GROUND APPLICATION : VEGETABLE CROPS

Suggested Rates:

Beans: 1 pint to 4 pints/acre per application. First application after thinning or second true leaf stage, subsequent applications at 10 to 14 day intervals as required. A 2% solution of Stress Master by spray volume is the maximum permissible rate for foliar application or, for each 1 pint/acre Stress Mater Si, add 6 1/4 gallons water per acre.

Cole Crops (Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Calabrese, Cauliflower): 1 pint to 4 pints/acre per application. First application post transplanting, thinning, or second true leaf stage, subsequent applications at 10 to14 day intervals as required. A 2% solution of Stress Master by spray volume is the maximum permissible rate for foliar application, or for each 1 pint/acre Stress Master add 6 1/4 gallons water per acre.

Lettuce, Spinach, Other Leafy Vegetables: 1 pint to 4 pints/acre per application. First application post transplanting or thinning, subsequent applications at 10 to14 day intervals as required. Apples, Pears (Pome Fruit): 1 pint to 4 pints/acre. First application at green tip, subsequent treatments at 30 day intervals or as needed. Almonds: 1 pint to 4 pints/acre. First application at green tip, subsequent treatments at 30 day intervals up to nut fill or as needed. Avocado: 1 pint to 4 pints/acre. First application at pre-bloom, subsequent treatments at 30 day intervals or as needed.

Hops: Apply 2 pints to 4 pints/acre. Walnuts and Other Nut Crops: 2 pints to 4 pints/acre. First application at green tip, subsequent treatments at 30 day intervals or as required. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Prior to any fertilizer or pesticide application, all spray mixing and application equipment must be cleaned. A tank cleaner is recommended. Carefully observe all cleaning directions on the pesticide label. Fill the spray or mix tank one half full of water and begin agitation. Add pesticides and/or fertilizers as directed by labeling or in the following sequence.
